{"id":5578,"date":"2017-09-27T22:26:41","date_gmt":"2017-09-27T20:26:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iea.rs\/?page_id=5578"},"modified":"2017-09-27T22:27:51","modified_gmt":"2017-09-27T20:27:51","slug":"anja-mijalkovic","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/iea.rs\/en\/anja-mijalkovic\/","title":{"rendered":"ANJA MIJALKOVI\u0106"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5579\" src=\"http:\/\/iea.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/anam.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"220\" height=\"300\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\">Anja was born in Ni\u0161 where she finished \u201cU\u010ditelj Tasa\u201d elementary school and the First Ni\u0161 Gymnasium \u201cStevan Sremac.\u201d During school time, she was engaged in peer education about addictions and prevention of peer violence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">She graduated in International Politics at Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade and is currently enrolled on Master studies of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Law at the same faculty. She is particularly interested in relations between the countries of the Western Balkans, LGBT rights and media law.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><a name=\"_GoBack\"><\/a> <span lang=\"en-US\">Anja\u2019s first internship was at the Humanitarian Law Center in Belgrade where she gained experience in the work of a non-governmental organization, and after that she was an intern at the Public Affairs Office of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade. As a student of CRD\u2019s Human Rights Defenders School, she organized a street campaign in Ni\u0161 with a goal to raise awareness about discrimination. She participated in many courses and seminars about human rights, rule of law, international law and transitional justice. She was also a volunteer in numerous sports events. <\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-US\">She speaks English, German, Spanish and Turkish.
