What was the topic of the discussion and how was organised?<\/h4>\n

I firstly introduced the programme in general which included the application process, YEC\u2019s history and aims in the society, the programme activity day-by-day, all the speakers and their messages, discussions and activities and the participants\u2019 responsibilities.<\/p>\n

After I had finished with the formal part, I moved on to presenting the ideas of the project. The main topic we were discussing was the notion of truth and information sources related to regional past and regional reconciliation. How do we know whom to trust and how do we form our opinions on certain things and in general \u2013 which steps we need to take to keep moving forward?<\/p>\n

The discussion was an open one. I talked about generalities and participants responded and we all conversed together.<\/p>\n

Explain the reaction of the participants on your speech.<\/h4>\n

In the beginning, they were sceptical about the programme itself. They did not why it would pay off for an NGO from Serbia to organise such events and they did not know how to know who is telling the truth and which date is right.<\/p>\n

When I mentioned the fact that by the first statistical research made to establish a number of victims of the war in B&H, they were disappointed and shocked some people and groups tend to victimise themselves and play a game with the number of their victims.<\/p>\n

Have you notice the impact of your lecture on the participants? Explain.<\/h4>\n

Regarding the impact I had on them, if we ignore the initial scepticism, the ending was quite positive. They thought the programme which was created by YRA is a great for enabling young people to travel with little to no costs and meet other people and educate yourself, so no one can take an advantage of your lack of knowledge and information. They also said they would be interested in attending the programme and asked me to notify them of future application processes.<\/p>\n

What were the questions posed by the participants and how did you react?<\/h4>\n

In the beginning they asked primarily formal questions related to the programme (when, how, etc.). After that, they were wondering why this programme is different than others and what that special thing which it is offering is. In addition to this, they questioned the credibility of YRA and its sources.<\/p>\n
