What was the topic of the discussion and how was organised?
Topic: YRA and Reconciliation and Regional Cooperation.
It was organized from my university in their premises. During the 1st activity there was a bug in the notification system so only 8 showed up. During the 2nd activity 20 + students showed up, unfortunately some of them did not sign the signatures form and came about 5 minutes late (after the photos had been taken).
Explain the reaction of the participants on your speech.
They enjoyed the presentation and thought the topic was interesting and different from what is heard every day on the media. Worth noting, during the 2nd activity I received a massive round of applause!
Have you notice the impact of your lecture on the participants? Explain.
Yes, everyone was really focused at listening. They asked who the guy in the middle is during the ppt presentation (for Deputy Head of Parliament) and his thoughts on Kosovo. They were positively surprised to learn that his views on Kosovo were very cooperative regionally! In the end, my point was that one should not generalize and have prejudice with stereotypes no matter where someone comes from.
What were the questions posed by the participants and how did you react?
They asked about the Deputy Head of Parliament, how long we stayed there, how we were treated inside the Serbian govt. building and how many Kosovars we were there.
