Dijana Ljubanović
Dijana was born in 1988 in Karlovac, Croatia. She graduated at Faculty of Political Sciences. She worked as a journalist in Karlovački tjednik, daily contributor to Karlovački list and as correspondent from Zagreb to Petrinjski Radio. As an activist at Zelena lista – a non-parliamentary political party – she participated in organising and implementing the local elections campaign in 2009. Later that same year, set up and launched ALTEROZ – a non-governmental organization established in response to community issues, focused on monitoring public policy at Ozalj municipality. Through participation in The Human Rights Schools – organised by the Helsinki Committee – she gained relevant experience, training and knowledge concerning the issues of human rights and activism. She worked as Board Member within the Croatian Helsinki Committee Youth Group. She attended seminars dealing with the subjects of activism, fight against corruption, marketing (NGO4NGO-AIESEC, Anti-corruption Mechanisms, PR DAYS – PR Team of the Faculty of Political Science, Transitional Justice School – Humanitarian Law Center). Currently works as Head of the Human Rights Department at the Youth Education Committee.
