Institute for European Affairs is focusing on negotiations between Serbia and the EU as well as on strengthening the capacity of all sides involved in the process. Given the complexity and long duration of the process, the Institute brings together a large number of professionals and external experts with whom organises trainings, debates and other forms of capacity development. We want to contribute to enhanced understanding of Serbia-EU relations. The Institute provides multi-perspective trainings in order to enable active participation of professionals and citizens in the decision-making processes. The Institute actively advocates for fundamental reforms within the EU integration process and in cooperation with partners working on strengthening Serbia's capacity to face the challenges of the global world through collective action. The overall objective is active membership of Serbia in Euro-Atlantic framework for the benefit of all citizens.

With Solidarity and Support Against the Attack on Women in Black

Joint Press Statement of CSOs in Serbia:

We express our solidarity with the Women in Black and we invite everyone who wants and can to come and join us for the cleaning of hate graffiti on Wednesday, October 27, from 1 pm at the premises of Women in Black (Jug Bogdanova 18) in Belgrade.

We call for urgent prosecution of persons who wrote hate graffiti and insults on the premises of Women in Black in Belgrade on the night between Friday, October 22 and Saturday, October 23, 2021. Moreover, we consider the condemnation of the attack by the representatives of the executive and legislative authorities necessary since the members of the ruling coalition as well as the pro-government media often slandered this organization and its members as traitors.

This attack is a direct consequence of the denial of the genocide in Srebrenica and the impunity of hooligans who use every opportunity to celebrate Ratko Mladic and insult Bosniak people, as was the case on October 10 this year at the handball match between Red Star and Novi Pazar.

The joint action will be organized in compliance with the epidemiological measures prescribed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
