What was the topic of the discussion and how was organised?
Topic of discussion was the EU integration and cooperation in the region. It is organized by am went to high school, pedagogicy informed about the program that I went and asked for cooperation. After which we informed the students of the school, responded to a department that is willing to participate.
The discussion began at 17:30p.m.. It lasted two school hours without a break. I applied introduction explains what kind of program it is, then started dealing with EU integration and cooperation in the region, stressing that it is closely related. Conveyed to them a part of the discussions in Belgrade, of course, later ask them questions about what they personally think about it
Explain the reaction of the participants on your speech.
Participants were very interested in, I noticed that they listened carefully and were focused on the topic. Of course they were pretty cool.
Have you notice the impact of your lecture on the participants? Explain.
I must admit that I did, because the discussion I realized that not all supporters of European integration, they questioned me a lot about concrete things. For example, if the EU guarantee economic stability and the like. After a two-hour diksusije, two participants have publicly said they have a positive view of the European Union and the integration of Serbia . A particularly striking to me has remained the last impression, when they invited me to come back, which to me as a young ambassador of reconciliation was very important..
What were the questions posed by the participants and how did you react?
The questions were mainly „What guarantees the European Union?“, „Will joining the EU to introduce genetically modified food?“, „Will there be a higher standard of citizens?“. I told them, that the European Union is a community-based economy, the rule of law and the laws that guarantee these rights. Explained that Serbia and regional countries to become full members have many obligations to the EU. First, to arrange their society, prepare for major changes, primarily using the voted law, and that will happen in the negotiation process with the EU that would lead negotiators. I told them that there is generally a consensus across the political spectrum that Serbia is part of the European Union. Of course, the discussion we talked about the fact that regional reconciliation and cooperation of the Western Balkans is very important step towards integration.
