30 november 2013, in the building of Belgrade municipality of Vozdovac, Dejan Remetic and Sasa Grujovic held lecture: „Role of media – from war to reconciliation, truth about war crimes and importance of transitional justice“.
In front of audience lectures showed impressive knowledge got on YRA 2013 programe, what prove numerous questions by the audience.
Lecture lasted about 80 minutes, for nekolicina representatives of school parliaments and non-government organisations, who could find out more information on YRA 2013 project, but also about reconciliation of the region.
Sasa Grujovic tended to show important role of the media on war presence in Yugoslavia, but also on escalation of conflict on every side. Grujovic compared that with youth ambassadors reports, which shows that in last few years it has stronger and stronger positive effect on society.
Second part of the lecture, Remetic managed to point out on certain facts in 40 minutes, about crimes in which participated every side in war, and even to explain importance of ICTY and reconciliation by transitional justice. He explained concept on reparations and reconciliation, by foundation truth and reconciliation commissions, and talked especialy about REKOM.
After lecture, there was a word about EU integration, for which all present listeners were agreed that are line which connect every region country, which can through reconciliation and cooperation proces go easier in EU.
