U fokusu rada Instituta za evropske poslove je praćenje pregovora Srbije sa EU i jačanje kapaciteta svih uključenih u procesu. Imajući u vidu složenost i dugotrajnost ovog procesa, Institut okuplja veliki broj stručnih saradnika sa kojima organizuje treninge, debate i druga usavršavanja zato što želimo da svojim radom doprnesemo boljem razumevanju evroatlantskih integracija. Institut radi na organizovanju treninga i pružanju multiperspektivnih informacija kako bismo omogućili aktivno učešće stručne javnosti i građana u procese donošenja odluka. Institut aktivno zagovara i zalaže se za temeljne reforme u okviru pegovaračkog procesa i u saradnji sa partnerima jačamo kapacitete Srbije da se suoči sa izazovima u globalnom svetu kroz zajedničko delovanje, koje za krajnji cilj ima aktivno članstvo Srbije u evroatlantskim okvirima za dobrobit svih građana.

What was the topic of the discussion and how was organized?
The topic of the discussion was „How can EU integration help regional reconciliation and cooperation among Western Balkans countries?”. It was organized in three parts: EU- explaining what this unity of states means, Western Balkan countries-the dispute issues they must solve and Macedonia-going backward.
Explain the reaction of the participants on your speech.
The participants were all the time rapt. They were already all trying to find out what was hidden behind any symbol or picture attached on the slides, following the discussion. They were also ready to answer to any question the ambassador made, what proved that they were listening carefully and even feeling free to show their opinions.
Have you notice the impact of your lecture on the participants? Explain.
The lecture elaborated issues, which aroused great interest. Their faces showed that the lecture raised their awareness of responsible being, while their eyes promised of start investing in themselves.
What were the questions posed by the participants and how did you react?
I was thinking a lot about the questions that could be posed by participants, and I just included them in the lecture like rhetorical questions. Thus I had also objective answers, as collected from different adequate sources.
