What was the topic of the discussion and how was organised?
Main topic of the discussion was regional reconciliation, how to achieve it, what are reasons because of what processes of reconciliation are so slow, and also the historical discourse in our society, how we see it, and what are implications of wars and social problems and turbulences on understanding all those complicated issues. Discussion was organised in two parts, first was debate about role of EU in processes of reconciliation, and second was basically discussion between participants of panel on those issues.
Explain the reaction of the participants on your speech.
In my speeches I tried to make link between whole program of YRA, issues of young population and to bring discussion from high principles to real problems and examples from experience of panellist, and my own. I think both panellist and participants reacted good and considered my contribution to the general discussion as something constructive.
Have you notice the impact of your lecture on the participants? Explain.
I have noticed impact of the lecture on participants, mainly because we had interesting and lively discussion, and afterwards people came to us and started conversations about issues that we started during the lecture.
What were the questions posed by the participants and how did you react?
Because of our own inexperience, we did not encouraged people to ask questions enough during the lecture, and they hesitated because of authority and vast knowledge of both professors.
However, after the lecture they used to ask about the program, participants, and some of them continued debates about EU role in reconciliation, and also what are the concrete steps that we should make to make reconciliation possible, for example where they can get more information specific issues such are war crimes, numbers of victims, contacts of relevant people etc…
I tried to be helpful and to give all answers that I posses, and if there was something beyond my knowledge, I tried to think who could know that, and direct people towards them.
